Ashli Shamblin, born in Franklin, Tennessee, grew up with a deep love for storytelling and the arts. She began her dance training in ballet, tap, and jazz at four years old, and fell in love with dance's ability to communicate, bring joy, and build community. Ashli continued to explore the art of story and dance at Belmont University, where she earned her B.A. in English Literature and Minor in Dance. In Belmont's Dance Company, Ashli had the privilege of performing works by talented choreographers including Debbie Belue, Carrie Gerow, and Maggie Pelton. She also had the opportunity to create her own dance narrative, "Little Fears," which she performed in Belmont's 2015 Dance Composition Showcase: Moving Stories & Mixed Bill XII.
Ashli continues her dance research in Nashville, and is grateful to be a part of artistic communities like Epiphany Dance Partners.
