The Longest Night

The Longest Night is an original multidisciplinary, multicultural celebration of the Winter Solstice incorporating spoken word, choral ensemble, congregational vocals and modern dance with the concept of renewal. Jason Shelton, artistic director of Portara Ensemble, brings together a variety of Nashville-area artists, musicians, dancers and dramatists, including:

  • 32-voice Portara Ensemble

  • Saxophonist Jeff Coffin

  • Poet Ciona Rouse
